Stadler & Swart Attorneys Inc. was established in 1982 as predominantly a conveyancing practice in the George area. Over the years the firm has maintained a tradition of excellence and has gone from strength to strength by constantly assimilating and developing new skills and adding to the services we are able to offer.

By the late 1990’s, Stadler & Swart had become a leading conveyancing practice in the Garden Route, acting for a number of prominent developers. It was during this time and while attending to a large volume of land use and environmental compliance audits of the then Imperial Bank, that we realized that the key to a successful property law practice in the Garden Route was not so much to offer a complete range of other legal services, but rather to focus on an intelligent combination of specialist fields which are relevant to property law.

We further identified that two of the main challenges facing developers was that of delays and an increase in the potential risks relating to required statutory application processes.

We were determined to become the firm with the required specialist knowledge and experience in the legal fields of environmental-, town planning- and local government law (decision making) which we have since been able offer to developers in an integrated manner. We have, and continue to, worked tirelessly at developing the skills and experience, contacts and business partnerships required to do so.
